Job summary

Job description

• Develop and implement shipping strategies to meet business needs and optimize delivery timelines.
• Oversee the management of shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and compliance certificates.
• Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to ensure smooth shipment processes.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs laws, and company policies.

Cost Management

• Monitor and control shipping costs by negotiating contracts with service providers and carriers.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in the shipping and logistics processes.
• Lead, train, and mentor the shipping team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
• Establish KPIs and ensure team accountability for operational targets.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain relationships with shipping companies, freight forwarders, and customs agents.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as procurement, inventory management, and customer service to align shipping schedules with business requirements.

Process Optimization and Reporting

• Analyze shipping operations data to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
• Prepare and present regular reports on shipping performance, costs, and compliance to senior management

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of shipping regulations, customs procedures, and international trade.
• Proficiency in logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or equivalent are a plus.
• Beauty Industry / Pharmacy / Electronics / etc.
