We're recruiting a 'Logistics Manager (Export)' for one of our clients based in Dubai, UAE.

About Our Client:

Our client is a top manufacturer of gray and white cement in the UAE. Known for their quality and innovation, they provide reliable cement solutions for various construction projects. Their products are trusted for strength and durability, making them a preferred choice in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. To look over the dispatch of Cement and Clinker by road and by sea.
2. Overall in-charge of all shipping activities, both in bulk shipments and container shipments.
3. To manage the various divisions of the business that include shipping, land transport, air freight contract logistics, and warehousing.
4. To arrange container and road logistics for the company and distributor in the GCC, Indian subcontinent, Middle East, and Africa.
5. To work closely with shipping lines, freight forwarding, and NVOCC professionals.
6. To liaise closely with shipping lines, suppliers, and port authority, sharing knowledge on vessel schedules.
7. To evaluate ships comparing freight and hire rates, checking charter-parties.
8. To communicate with owners, charterers, and co-brokers, advising them on various pros and cons to make a successful fixture.
9. To prepare distribution plans for smooth movement.
10. To coordinate with production, materials, and trading departments to chalk out logistics plans for shipments.
11. Control the weighbridge operations, planning for road transport for the materials from factory to the port and to other distribution centers and terminals.

Requirements:

1. MBA / Diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain Management.
2. Minimum 10 years of experience in Logistics.
3. Experience in Turnkey Operations for Bulk & Break Bulk Cargo.
4. Good contacts with NVOCC.
