Job description

• Develop and implement logistics strategies that support business goals.
• Recommend change and improvement to processes based on analysis of data, facts and figures as well as best in class industry practices and emerging trends.
• Oversee the forecast, logistics capacity planning, manage the movement of products/equipment/materials in and/or out of the country in accordance with organizational policy and procedure, and to comply with relevant local, country and international and international law and process through effectively managing the Account handlers and coordinating with the warehouse team.
• Manage multi-site, multi-customer WH operations ensuring appropriate balance between cost efficiency and optimal productivity.
• Manage customer expectations, provide various reports and update to the clients, and resolve logistics-related issues.
• Maintain regular contact with customers for performance review, ensure timely renewal of contracts, price revision strategies are followed and adherence to SLAs.
• Oversee necessary Customs documentation and commercial documentation for the efficient, cost-effective and lawful execution of shipments.
• Optimize department costs and enhance efficiency through effective scheduling, manpower planning and resource allocations.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations (local, national, international) & Company Policy.
• Liaise with Operations, Warehouse and Transport teams to synchronize operations.
• Drive KPI based performance and recommend periodic upgrades to existing KPIs as well as develop new KPIs based on business requirements.
• Manage all staff reporting to the position to effectively recruit, train, evaluate, motivate, delegate and monitor their activities.
• Adhere to local and externally relevant health and safety laws and policies.
• Analyze logistics performance data and generate improvement reports.
• Auditing of job files within the department to ensure adherence of procedure manual.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education: Essential to have a Bachelor's degree, Desirable to have a master's degree in management / supply chain / Logistics.
• Experience: 15+ years in logistics, preferably in a 3PL environment.
• Skills: Change oriented energetic leadership, Process and solution driven, Strong analytical skills, Hands on WMS technology exposure, commercial acumen, eloquent spoken and written communication.
• Age: 40+
• Driving License: Valid UAE Driving License
