Job summary

MILANO PASTA FZCO is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to plan and direct inbound/outbound logistics, optimize transport, warehousing and distribution, and drive cost efficiencies. The role also focuses on supplier and 3PL partnerships, customs compliance, and KPI-driven performance management.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food or consumer goods logistics, 8+ years in logistics/distribution, and proven leadership in managing multiple operational functions.

Qualifications

• 8 years of progressive experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.
• 3 years in a people-management role overseeing teams and multiple operational functions.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating with carriers and 3PL providers and managing freight costs.
• Strong knowledge of import/export procedures, customs documentation, and Incoterms.
• Proficiency with TMS/WMS platforms and Microsoft Excel pivot tables dashboards data analysis.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, CILT, or APICS/ASCM.

Responsibilities

• Plan direct and oversee inbound and outbound logistics including transportation, warehousing and distribution.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies that improve service levels, reduce costs and increase operational efficiency.
• Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and 3PL providers; negotiate contracts and rates.
• Oversee customs documentation and compliance with import/export regulations.
• Monitor KPIs on-time delivery, fill rate, inventory accuracy, cost per shipment and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead, coach and develop logistics staff including dispatchers, warehouse supervisors and coordinators.
• Manage inventory levels in coordination with procurement, sales and production planning to minimize stockouts and excess stock.
• Resolve shipment delays, damages and discrepancies quickly, communicating proactively with internal teams and customers.
• Maintain logistics budgets, track spend and identify savings opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards, particularly for temperature-sensitive or food-grade products where applicable.
• Implement and maintain TMS and WMS systems and drive data-informed decision-making.

Required candidate profile

• Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or a related field or equivalent experience
• 8 years of progressive experience in logistics distribution or supply chain operations
• 3 years in a people-management role overseeing teams and multiple operational functions
• Demonstrated experience negotiating with carriers and 3PL providers and managing freight costs
• Strong knowledge of import export procedures customs documentation and Incoterms
• Proficiency with TMS WMS platforms and Microsoft Excel pivot tables dashboards data analysis
