Logistics Manager

The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all logistics and supply chain operations to ensure the efficient movement and storage of goods. This role involves managing warehouse operations, transportation, inventory control, and supplier coordination while ensuring compliance with UAE customs and trade regulations. Operating in a fast-paced environment, the manager ensures timely delivery and cost-effective logistics solutions aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities:

1. Managing end-to-end logistics operations including warehousing, distribution, and transportation activities.
2. Coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs authorities to ensure timely import/export clearance.
3. Developing and implementing logistics strategies that align with business objectives and budget targets.
4. Monitoring inventory levels, optimizing storage solutions, and reducing excess or obsolete stock.
5. Ensuring compliance with UAE customs, health, and safety regulations across all logistics functions.
6. Utilizing logistics software and systems to track shipments, manage inventory, and generate performance reports.
7. Identifying opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and service enhancements.
8. Leading and mentoring logistics staff to maintain high standards of productivity and accuracy.
9. Collaborating with sales, procurement, and finance teams to synchronize supply chain operations.
10. Managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers and evaluating their performance based on KPIs.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. 6-8 years of logistics or supply chain experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within the UAE.
3. Strong understanding of UAE customs regulations, import/export documentation, and local trade laws.
4. Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office applications.
5. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex logistics operations.
6. Strong leadership and team management capabilities with a results-driven mindset.
7. Effective communication and negotiation skills to manage vendor and stakeholder relationships.
8. Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are a plus.
