Job summary

Gulfa Mineral Water And Processing Industries L.L.C. is seeking an Operations & Fleet Management professional to oversee the transfer of goods from factory to distribution centers and to customers.

You will prepare daily delivery plans, optimize routes, and manage all company vehicles to ensure readiness and efficiency. The role also focuses on leading drivers and logistics helpers, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee transfer of goods factory to DC and DC to customers.
• Prepare daily delivery plans with sales and warehouse teams.
• Optimize delivery routes to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage all company vehicles: vans, trailers, and leased units.
• Coordinate with 3rd-party trailer and leasing vendors.
• Lead and supervise drivers and logistics helpers; assign duties.
• Conduct KPI-based performance reviews (delivery accuracy, timeliness).
• Train helpers to become drivers; support internal mobility.
• Enforce discipline and professional conduct in the logistics team.
• Ensure vehicles have valid permits, registrations, insurance.
• Handle renewals and regulatory coordination for transport compliance.
• Maintain records for fleet documents and driver licenses.
• Develop logistics KPIs and track performance metrics.
• Analyze fleet data to cut costs and improve service.

• Oversee and coordinate the transfer of goods from factory to DC and from DC to customer destinations.
• Prepare daily delivery plans in coordination with sales and warehouse teams; ensure effective execution.
• Monitor delivery routes and optimise them to increase delivery efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Manage all company vehicles, including vans, trailers, and leased units—ensuring readiness, maintenance, and availability.
• Coordinate with 3rd-party trailer companies and vehicle leasing vendors as needed.

Team Supervision & Development

• Lead and supervise a team of professional drivers and logistics helpers; assign duties and monitor daily performance.
• Conduct regular performance reviews based on KPIs such as delivery accuracy, timeliness, fuel usage, and idle time.
• Train and upgrade helpers become drivers, ensuring internal mobility and skill development.
• Instil discipline, professional behaviour, and accountability within the logistics team.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure all company vehicles have valid permits, registrations, and insurance as per government requirements.
• Handle renewals, approvals, and coordination with regulatory authorities for transportation compliance.
• Maintain detailed and organised records for fleet documents, driver licences, and compliance logs.

Planning & Analysis

• Develop and track logistics performance metrics (e.g., cost per delivery, on-time delivery rate, idle time, vehicle utilisation).
• Analyse fleet data to propose improvements, cut costs, and enhance service levels.
• Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and procurement teams to align logistics execution with business needs.
