Job description

We are looking to hire a Logistics Driver who will be responsible for loading, unloading, delivering and picking up goods in a timely and safe manner as well as preparing, cleaning, and operating company assigned vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transports products, observing speed limits, traffic signals, parking ordinances and other laws governing the operation of motor vehicles.
  • Maintains daily records of pickups and deliveries, and hours of operation.
  • Checks vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
  • Selects most efficient routes in order to ensure turn around targets are met.
  • Operates the vehicle in a manner that will result in a high rate of fuel efficiency.
  • Ensures appropriate delivery documentation is duly and accurately completed.
  • Ensures vehicles are maintained and kept clean and odor free at all times.
  • Notifies the Line Manager of any infractions or other violation; any current suspension, revocation, expiration or cancellation of driving privileges; any damage to, or accident in, a company owned or leased vehicle.

In order to be successful in this role, you should have:

  • High School or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years job related experience.
  • Manual driving license.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant local transportation laws, regulations and methods.
  • Knowledge of logistics documentation and systems.
