Logistics Coordinator — On-site (United Arab Emirates)

Industry: Management Consulting & Business Services focused on supply chain, logistics, and operational support for commercial and government clients across the UAE and GCC. We deliver hands-on logistics solutions—freight, warehousing, inventory and customs—integrated with client programs and consulting engagements.

About The Opportunity

We are hiring an on-site Logistics Coordinator to manage day-to-day inbound/outbound shipments, warehouse activities, and customs interactions for client projects across the UAE. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can coordinate multiple vendors, carriers and stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track air, sea and road shipments across the UAE/GCC—prepare and verify shipping documentation (B/L, AWB, commercial invoices, packing lists).
• Manage customs clearance processes and liaise with clearing agents to ensure compliance with UAE import/export regulations and Incoterms.
• Oversee on-site warehouse operations: receiving, put-away, cycle counts and accurate inventory reconciliation.
• Negotiate and manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders and 3PL partners to optimize cost and delivery performance.
• Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve exceptions—delays, damages, shortages—communicating impact and corrective actions to stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records in ERP/WMS and generate operational reports and KPIs for clients and internal teams.

Skills & Qualifications

• Must-Have
• 2+ years operational logistics experience (freight forwarding, customs clearance, or warehouse coordination) in the UAE/GCC.
• Practical knowledge of UAE import/export regulations, Incoterms and customs documentation.
• Proficient with MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and experience using ERP/WMS (SAP/Oracle/IFS or similar).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and vendors.
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to manage time-sensitive, high-volume shipments on-site.

Preferred

• Experience working with freight forwarders and 3PL contracts or within a consulting/outsourced logistics environment.
• Familiarity with hazardous materials, temperature-controlled logistics or project logistics is an advantage.
