Overview
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for managing the daily operations of logistics and supply chain activities. This includes overseeing transportation, scheduling, and inventory management to ensure efficient service delivery. The ideal candidate should be well-organized, possess excellent verbal communication skills, and be capable of handling multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
- Transportation & Scheduling: Schedule and coordinate service appointments, deliveries, and pickups in a timely manner.
- Inventory Management: Monitor, order, and manage service-related materials, tools, and equipment.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with third-party vendors and suppliers to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Documentation & Reporting: Record inventory levels, transportation schedules, and service orders; provide regular performance reports to management.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve logistical issues such as delays or miscommunications.
- Customer Communication: Communicate effectively with customers regarding service requests, delivery status, and schedule changes.
- Compliance: Ensure logistics operations adhere to relevant regulations and company policies.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Supply Chain Management: Plan, coordinate, and monitor all aspects from procurement to delivery.
- Inventory Control: Manage stock levels and ensure availability.
- Vendor Relations: Negotiate and maintain relationships with carriers and suppliers.
- Performance Analysis: Track KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
- Shipment Coordination: Track inbound and outbound shipments and ensure timely delivery.
- Issue Resolution: Manage and resolve shipping or delivery problems.
- Goods Handling: Oversee loading, unloading, and storage of goods.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain shipping documents.
- Inventory Records: Keep accurate records and conduct regular audits.
- Inventory Optimization: Implement strategies to minimize costs and optimize stock levels.
- Cost Management: Negotiate freight rates and identify cost-saving measures.
- Cost Analysis: Monitor logistics costs for continuous improvement.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry best practices.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred but not required).
- Experience: At least 2 years in logistics coordination or a similar role in the service or supply chain industry.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of logistics software, spreadsheets, and scheduling tools; ability to learn new technologies.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications are a plus but not mandatory.
- Communication: Clear and concise oral and written business communication skills.
- Organization: Detail-oriented, well-organized, and self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office and aptitude for learning specialized software.
- Teamwork & Adaptability: Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
