Job description

Install, repair, rebuild, and service mechanical or electrical locking devices on a USAF installation in accordance with contract requirements.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Must be a Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a standard security clearance if required. Ability to adapt to frequent change and a fast-paced work environment. Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused attitude. Ability to understand written and oral instructions. Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Experience working with Government or military personnel. Ability to generate reports as needed. Must be detail-oriented and able to work well with management, co-workers, and customers. Proficient in using MS Office applications for composing reports, correspondence, and forms. Ability to operate computers and relevant software.

Must obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization; US Citizenship required for this at the work location.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE : At least three (3) years of related experience or training in the locksmith field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be a registered Locksmith with sufficient expertise.

REQUIRED EDUCATION : GSA Certified Locksmith (DoD Lock Program / GSA Safe & Vault Training). High School diploma or equivalent, with additional computer training for data entry, word processing, and reporting. Valid state driver’s license and qualification to operate government vehicles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Military experience, facilities or project management, inventory management, operations experience, and Keystone software knowledge. An associate degree or higher is a plus.

Work Environment, Physical, and Mental Demands :

Tasks may require lifting, bending, or stooping. Physical demands are typical of this role and may be performed occasionally or regularly. Work conditions may be remote and challenging. Ability to work well with others, including government personnel, is essential.
