Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Ensures that our guests have memorable experiences at Sofitel Dubai The Palm.
  • Welcome and bid fond farewell to all guests upon arrival at the resort in a traditional manner as stipulated in the operating procedures.
  • Assist guests in resort activity enquiries/requests.
  • Ensure that established levels of guest service are maintained at all times within the reception area.
  • Actively elicit guest feedback and preferences regarding resort services and ensure action is initiated on the same to maximize guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure sufficient stocking of welcome beverages, refresh towels, and special amenities are maintained.
  • Coordinate transportation for guests in collaboration with the concierge desk.
  • Handle difficult situations while effectively following resort policies and procedures.
  • Communicate promptly and efficiently guest complaints and compliments to the Front Office Manager / Duty Manager / Guest Relations Manager.
  • Keep the immediate Manager / Supervisor promptly and fully informed.
  • Ensure safety and security of guests.
  • Actively participate in upselling Spa, Food and Beverage outlets, and excursions.
  • Ensure the standards of service as well as the LQA requirements are followed and adhered to.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills and presentation.
  • Ability to converse with guests from diverse backgrounds.
  • Fluency in English; foreign languages an advantage.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Lobby Host, preferably in a similar quality hotel.
  • A friendly and outgoing demeanor.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently.
  • Strong decision-making abilities.
