Job summary

A luxury hotel in Dubai is seeking a Guest Service Agent to provide exceptional service to guests. You will ensure a warm welcome, maintain lobby standards, and assist with guest preferences. Ideal candidates have over 2 years of experience in a similar role at an international five-star hotel and possess excellent communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and OPERA PMS is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Receptionist/Guest Service position.
  • High level of verbal and written English.
  • Additional language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of hotel and local services.
  • Ensure lobby cleanliness and assist guests.
  • Conduct hotel tours when required.

Job Purpose:

To create a unique point of contact for our guests, prior, during and after their stay; ensure that all preferences and requests are anticipated and met; offer undivided attention to all guests visiting Paramount Hotel and build lasting relationships by following our core values

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of the hotel and local services and supply information and respond to guest queries
  • Ensure the lobby is clean, the furniture and newspapers look presentable at all times
  • Ensure lobby presence at all times
  • Provide a warm welcome and offer assistance to all guests entering the hotel
  • Conduct hotel tours every time it is required
  • Assist reception with arrival welcome amenities (wet towels, welcome drink) for checking in guests
  • Ensure cold and warm towels are always available, as per the number of arrivals
  • Deal promptly, efficiently and pleasantly with any queries
  • Offer consistently professional, friendly, warm and engaging service
  • Check the arrivals detailed report for the following day and day after to highlight special requests
  • Check guests profile and identify repeat guests
  • Update guest preferences and guest feedback in Profile Notes
  • Prepare special occasion cards (i.e. Birthday, Anniversary, Honeymoon) and deliver to the respective rooms
  • Establish, promote and maintain good public relations and enhances sales for the hotel at every opportunity
  • Perform any related duties and special projects as requested by Management

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Receptionist/Guest Service position at Front Stage, preferably in an international five star hotel with more than 500 rooms
  • High level of verbal and written English
  • Preferably additional language (Arabic, Russian, French, Spanish, Italian, German)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of OPERA PMS
