Job Overview
As a Loan Syndication Associate, you will work closely with the Loan Syndicate & Distribution (LSD) team and GCF business units to price and structure syndicated loan transactions. This role requires deep knowledge of corporate lending, investor relationship management, and underwriting practices. Your key mission is to secure lead arranger and bookrunner roles for FAB and grow the bank s loan distribution footprint in primary and secondary markets.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead syndication strategies for new GCF loan transactions, including pricing, structuring, and investor targeting
* Develop and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions across EMEA to understand their credit appetite and pricing thresholds
* Support placement of primary and secondary syndication opportunities and manage global underwriting positions
* Provide internal market intelligence, pricing benchmarks, and guidance to origination teams
* Drive syndication discussions with third-party banks, presenting client profiles, deal structures, and underwriting economics
* Monitor regional and global loan market developments and provide timely insights to internal stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with FAB s internal underwriting and risk policies
* Prepare accurate and timely reports related to transaction pipelines, investor responses, and business planning initiatives
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Coverage, Credit, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution
* Support strategic initiatives led by the Head of Loan & Portfolio Management Division (LPMD)

Required Skills and Experience

* Bachelor s degree in Finance, Business, or related field (MBA or CFA preferred)
* 5 10 years of experience in corporate lending or capital markets, with at least 5 years in loan syndication or related functions
* Strong understanding of loan market structures, documentation, and mechanics
* Solid analytical skills, ability to interpret financial models and assess credit structures
* Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with syndicate banks and market participants
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and negotiate at senior levels
* Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
* Multilingual capability (Arabic or European languages) is a plus
* High cultural awareness and adaptability to GCC business environments
