Job summary

TXM Solutions in the UAE is seeking a Linux, Storage & Backup Engineer (L2) to join an onsite team supporting a large UAE Federal Government environment. The role emphasizes resilience, availability and recoverability of Linux platforms and enterprise data.

You will patch, manage SAN/NAS storage, operate Veritas NetBackup and run DR drills, while automating with Bash, Python and Ansible. A 5+ year hands-on background is required along with fluent English.

Qualifications

• Enterprise backup experience with Veritas NetBackup.
• Experience with Disaster Recovery, RTO/RPO and DR testing.

Responsibilities

• Administer, patch and harden Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
• Manage patching and content through Red Hat Satellite.
• Manage SAN/NAS storage including provisioning, replication and capacity planning.
• Operate Veritas NetBackup including backup jobs, restore validation and integrity checks.
• Plan and execute Disaster Recovery drills with RTO/RPO validation.
• Automate tasks using Bash, Python and Ansible.
• Troubleshoot infra incidents and resolve issues within SLAs.
• Maintain technical docs, runbooks and DR/restore reports.
• Support capacity planning, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.

Hiring: Linux, Storage & Backup Engineer (L2) – UAE

We are currently hiring an experienced Linux, Storage & Backup Engineer (L2) for a full-time, onsite opportunity supporting a large-scale UAE Federal Government environment.

This is a hands-on infrastructure role focused on ensuring the resilience, availability and recoverability of critical Linux platforms and enterprise data.

Location: UAE – Onsite

Working Pattern: 5 days per week, 9 hours per day

Employment: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, patch and harden Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments
• Manage patching and content through Red Hat Satellite
• Manage SAN/NAS enterprise storage, including provisioning, replication and capacity planning
• Operate Veritas NetBackup, including backup jobs, restore validation, encryption and integrity checks
