Job summary

CIB MARS seeks a qualified Lifting Inspection Engineer/Inspector to join our Inspection Operations team in the UAE. You will perform third-party inspections, testing, and technical assessments of lifting equipment and accessories while ensuring compliance with international standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities include conducting inspections, preparing reports, and delivering training when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Diploma in mechanical, civil or electrical eng.
• 2-6 years in lifting equipment inspection or QA/QC.
• Knowledge of lifting standards and safety regulations.
• Experience in third-party inspection or ISO 17020 is an advantage.
• Certifications such as LEEA, ASNT, CSWIP, IPAF, or OEM training beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of lifting equipment and lifting accessories (cranes, hoists, forklifts, MEWPs, slings, shackles, lifting beams, etc.).
• Perform visual inspections, functional testing, and load testing where applicable.
• Identify and document defects, non-conformities, and safety-critical findings.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports and technical documentation in accordance with applicable standards.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17020 inspection requirements and safety regulations.
• Maintain proper use and control of inspection instruments and calibrated equipment.
• Deliver technical guidance and operational training to operators and site personnel where required.
• Maintain professional communication with clients and internal technical teams.
