Job summary

KBR is seeking a Lifting & Hosting Engineer to be based in Abu Dhabi Offshore Island for an EPC project. The candidate will lead lifting operations, review plans, ensure asset integrity, and uphold ADNOC HSE standards.

Experience in offshore/onshore lifting, ISO 9000 qualifications, and ADNOC training is required, with a strong emphasis on HSE and coordination across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of offshore/onshore lifting experience.
• Professional qualification in ISO 9000 (Lead Auditor or equivalent).
• Ability to write lifting plans, supervise and execute critical lifting.
• Strong HSE focus and safe lifting practices across locations.
• Familiarity with international lifting standards and change management.
• Training to ADNOC Appointed Person and Lifting Supervisor courses with examinations.

Responsibilities

• Implement LIMS & ADNOC HSE Standard HSEOSST19 at offshore sites.
• Review and approve all lift plans (simple to complex).
• Ensure asset integrity of lifting equipment offshore.
• Act as Approved Assessor for CONTRACTOR/SUBCONTRACTOR lifting teams.
• Provide technical input for lifting operations.
• Conduct regular lifting and hoisting compliance checks offshore.
• Report to Project Offshore HSE Marine Manager.

KBR is looking for a Lifting & Hosting Engineer to be based in Abu Dhabi Offshore Based Island for an EPC project.

Experience required:

• Hold Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Have relevant oil & gas offshore and onshore lifting related experience of not less than years with minimum 10 years.
• Have professional qualification in ISO 9000 like Lead Auditor or similar bodies with sufficient experience in Quality Management Systems.
• Be able to write Lifting plans supervise and execute critical lifting in oil & gas companies.
• Have focus on HSE priorities and work with a team for Safe Lifting Practices across different locations of the project.
• Be familiar with international standard related to Lifting engineering practices with sufficient knowledge in interpretation and to bring excellence in Change management.
• Be trained to the 4day course of Appointed Person in addition to the 4day course of Lifting Supervisor by an ADNOC Group Approved Training Company and Tutor and successfully pass the applicable exams (He shall be trained and assessed on the same type of offshore or onshore Crane i.e. (offshore Appointed Person Course is different than Mobile Crane Appointed Person Course).

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Be overall accountable for the implementation of LIMS & ADNOC HSE Standard HSEOSST19 in in project sites at Offshore.
• Be able to review and approve all types of Lift Plans (Routine NonRoutineSimple NonRoutineComplicated and NonRoutineComplex).
• Assure the asset integrity of Lifting Equipment in project sites at Offshore.
• Act as an Approved Assessor for CONTRACTOR/SBCONTRACTOR Lifting Team.
• Provide technical input and guidance for lifting operations.
• Conduct regular Lifting & Hoisting Compliance Assurance Checks in project sites at Offshore.
• Reports to Project Offshore HSE Marine Manager.
