Job Title : Lifestyle Health Coach – Focus on Sleep, Stress & Health Goal Assessment (Part-Time)
Job Overview :
As part of our mission to improve patient outcomes and promote healthier lifestyles, we are looking for a Lifestyle Health Coach to join our clinic. This position is well-suited for someone with a foundation in health coaching and some experience in a clinical or wellness setting, who is passionate about helping patients adopt sustainable changes to improve their health and well-being.
The Lifestyle Health Coach will play a central role in conducting initial assessments, guiding patients through goal-setting, and providing support in the areas of sleep health, stress management, and behavioral change. The role will involve working with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals and utilizing data from wearable devices and CRM tools to inform coaching and track progress.
Key Responsibilities :
- Patient Education & Coaching: Deliver one-on-one and occasional group coaching sessions focused on lifestyle behavior change. Primary areas include sleep hygiene, stress management, emotional regulation, and general behavior modification.
- Initial Health Assessments: Conduct patient assessments to explore lifestyle habits, health goals, and readiness for change. Use this data to guide coaching priorities and collaborate with the clinical team on the patient care plan.
- Develop Personalized Plans: Work with patients to develop actionable and personalized coaching plans based on their goals, needs, and daily habits, especially around sleep, stress, and general well-being.
- Motivation & Support: Act as a supportive accountability partner for patients, helping them stay motivated to make consistent changes. Provide encouragement and troubleshooting when patients face challenges.
- Behavioral Modification: Apply behavior change tools such as motivational interviewing, goal-setting, and habit-stacking to support patients in developing healthier behaviors and maintaining change long-term.
- Education & Resources: Share relevant educational materials and practical resources on topics like stress reduction, sleep hygiene, mindfulness, time management, and lifestyle health.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with endocrinologists, dietitians, diabetes educators, and exercise coaches to ensure the coaching approach aligns with the overall care plan.
- Program Development: Participate in the refinement of lifestyle coaching services and patient engagement workflows. Stay informed about best practices in sleep, stress, and lifestyle medicine.
- Monitor Progress: Track patient progress over time using follow-up sessions, wearable device data, and CRM documentation. Modify coaching plans as needed to support continued improvement.
- Wearable Device & CRM Use: Use wearable device metrics (e.g., sleep quality, step count, HRV) to guide coaching conversations. Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the clinic’s patient management software.
- Patient Engagement & Retention: Implement patient-centered strategies to boost motivation, engagement, and participation in the coaching program. Build relationships that promote trust and long-term participation.
- Documentation & Reporting: Keep thorough and organized records of all coaching interactions and patient progress. Share relevant updates with the healthcare team to support interdisciplinary care.
- Professional Conduct: Understand and follow all clinic protocols, including infection control procedures, privacy policies, and patient-centered communication standards.
Working hours & flexibility :
- Part-time: 24 hours per week
- Can be distributed over 3 or 4 days, with at least one weekend day (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) required
- Days and times are flexible in coordination with the team and patient booking needs
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field (e.g., Health Coaching, Public Health, Psychology, Nutrition, Exercise Science). Certification as a Health Coach, Lifestyle Medicine Coach, or a similar credential (e.g., NBHWC, IIN, ACE, ACSM) is highly desirable.
1–3 years of experience in lifestyle coaching, wellness programs, or behavior change support. Clinical or patient-facing experience is preferred. Experience with stress management or sleep coaching is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of behavior change models, habit formation, motivational interviewing, and SMART goal setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity when working with diverse patients
- Ability to educate and inspire patients toward healthful lifestyle changes
- Familiarity with sleep and stress coaching principles, relaxation strategies, and mindfulness tools
- Comfort using wearable health tech and interpreting patient-generated health data
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Collaborative mindset and experience working within interdisciplinary teams
Proficiency with digital tools, including wearable device platforms (e.g., Oura, Fitbit), patient management systems, and virtual coaching platforms.
Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience coaching patients with diabetes, prediabetes, obesity, or chronic health conditions
- Experience in a clinical or healthcare setting
- Additional certification in stress reduction, mindfulness, CBT tools for coaching, or sleep coaching
- Proven ability to guide patients toward measurable improvements in lifestyle and health outcomes
