Job Description
  • Oversee daily operations at aquatic facilities, ensuring lifeguards are vigilant and pools are maintained to the highest safety standards.
  • Conduct regular training sessions and drills to keep lifeguard staff well-prepared for emergencies and proficient in rescue techniques.
  • Implement and enforce facility policies and safety regulations, addressing non-compliance swiftly to maintain a safe environment.
  • Collaborate with facility management to develop and update emergency response plans tailored to specific scenarios.
  • Monitor staff performance through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills and accountability.
  • Manage scheduling and staffing needs, ensuring adequate lifeguard coverage during peak hours and special events.
  • Engage with patrons to promote safety awareness and provide education on pool rules and regulations.
  • Investigate and document incidents or accidents, compiling reports to inform management and improve safety protocols.
  • Coordinate maintenance and safety inspections of all aquatic equipment and facilities, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
  • Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and conflict resolution, promoting morale and staff cohesion.
Desired Candidate Profile
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with preference for candidates holding a degree in recreation management or a related field.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively under pressure.
  • Experience working in public pools, water parks, or similar recreational facilities is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey safety protocols and engage with patrons effectively.
  • Proficient in emergency response techniques and able to demonstrate critical thinking in high-stress situations.
  • Physical fitness and swimming proficiency, with the ability to perform rescues and provide first aid as necessary.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the capacity to adapt to changing situations in a dynamic environment.
