Job summary

Dusit Thani Dubai is seeking an attentive Lifeguard to ensure pool area safety and guest service. The role requires vigilant supervision, adherence to pool regulations, and timely incident reporting. You will also assist guests, teach swimming lessons, and coordinate pool activities with the Fitness Center team.

Standard duties include maintaining pool cleanliness, recording water quality readings, and providing towel service to hotel guests. A professional, guest-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Lifeguard experience, preferably in a 5-star hotel.
• Valid Lifeguard Licence/Certification from an approved authority.
• Strong knowledge of lifeguarding, surveillance, water rescue, First Aid and CPR.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Maintains pool area in a clean, tidy, and organized condition.
• Provides constant supervision during pool opening hours.
• Monitors pool and beach areas to prevent accidents and identify hazards.
• Performs incident reporting to supervisors.
• Keeps daily logs and ensures pool rules are followed.
• Teaches swimming lessons and arranges pool activities.
• Provides towel service to hotel guests and assists guests as needed.

Job description

• Ensures swimming pool surrounding kept clean tidy and organized
• Ensures constant supervision during the opening hours of the pool area
• Maintains and ensures compliance of swimming pool regulations
• Assists guests upon their request
• Monitors activities at the pool to prevent accidents and points out any trouble in swimming pool amp beach operation
• Reports any incidents that happen in the duty area directly to the supervisor manager
• Maintains daily report in log-book
• Cautions swimmers regarding unsafe practices and safety hazards
• enforces and adheres to pool rules and regulations
• Maintains order in the pool and adjoining areas
• Inspects facilities for cleanliness completes general pool cleaning and maintenance duties
• Determines chlorine content and pH value of water using water testing kit and record readings
• Provides general information on pool operation to guests
• Teaches swimming lessons
• Arranges pool exercise and pool activities i e water polo water volleyball
• Provides towel service to hotel guests
• Performs other duties as assigned by Fitness Center Manager Front Office Manager

Qualifications
