Job summary

OUR HABITAS is seeking a Senior Lifeguard Supervisor for Caravan by Our Habitas Hatta to oversee daily lifeguard operations, ensure coverage and proactive safety, and deliver exceptional guest service.

You will lead briefings, train staff, respond to emergencies with CPR and first aid, maintain equipment, run safety drills, and coordinate with Engineering on water quality while upholding UAE safety standards and hospitality values.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard certification valid and recognized per local requirements.
• First Aid & CPR certification current.
• Experience as Senior Lifeguard or Lifeguard Supervisor in hotels/resorts.
• Strong swimming and water rescue abilities with emergency response skills.
• Knowledge of pool safety, risk prevention and incident management.
• Proven leadership and ability to coach and motivate a team.
• Excellent guest-service mindset with professional safety enforcement.
• Clear communication, especially during emergencies.
• Physically fit for long surveillance and rescue duties.
• Fluency in English; other languages are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily lifeguard operations and ensure coverage and surveillance.
• Lead briefings and support lifeguard team for performance and guest service.
• Monitor pool and recreational areas and address hazards.
• Respond to emergencies with rescue, first aid and CPR.
• Ensure lifeguards remain certified and trained.
• Conduct safety drills, briefings, and refresher training.
• Carry out opening/closing safety checks and maintain equipment.

• Prepare team schedules and daily duty allocations.
• Engage with guests and assist families around pool areas.

Job description

Supervise the daily lifeguard operation ensuring appropriate coverage and active surveillance of all designated pool and water areas Lead brief and support the lifeguard team ensuring consistent performance professionalism and guest service Monitor pool and surrounding recreational areas continuously identifying potential hazards and taking immediate preventative action Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies providing rescue assistance first aid and CPR when required Ensure all lifeguards maintain valid certifications and are fully trained in emergency response rescue procedures and operational standards Conduct regular safety drills briefings and refresher training to ensure the team remains prepared for emergency situations Carry out opening and closing safety checks and ensure required lifesaving and first-aid equipment is available accessible and in good working condition Maintain accurate records of safety checks incidents first-aid cases training and other required operational documentation Ensure pool rules and safety procedures are communicated clearly and applied consistently while maintaining a positive guest experience Coordinate with Engineering and relevant operational teams regarding water quality equipment maintenance concerns and potential safety hazards Maintain high standards of cleanliness organisation and presentation throughout pool and recreational areas Prepare team schedules and daily duty allocations to ensure effective operational coverage Engage naturally with guests providing assistance and information while creating a welcoming and relaxed environment Support children families and guests requiring additional assistance around pool areas with appropriate care and attention Report and follow up on incidents hazards and operational concerns promptly in line with established procedures Ensure compliance with applicable UAE safety requirements company policies and emergency procedures Lead by example creating a team culture built around safety accountability care and genuine hospitality

• Lifeguard Certification: Valid recognised lifeguard certification appropriate to the role and local regulatory requirements.
• First Aid & CPR: Current First Aid and CPR certification is required.
• Supervisory Experience: Previous experience as a Senior Lifeguard, Lifeguard Supervisor or similar role within a hotel, resort, leisure facility, waterpark or recreational environment.
• Strong Swimming & Rescue Skills: Excellent swimming ability with demonstrated competence in water rescue and emergency response.
• Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of pool safety, risk prevention, emergency procedures and incident management.
• Leadership: Confident supervising, coaching and motivating a team while maintaining clear safety expectations.
• Guest Experience: Approachable and attentive, with the ability to enforce safety requirements professionally while maintaining a warm guest experience.
• Communication: Clear verbal communication skills with the confidence to provide instructions during both everyday operations and emergency situations.
• Physical Fitness: Able to meet the physical demands of lifeguarding, including prolonged observation, swimming, rescue and first-aid response.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an advantage.
