Rixos seeks a professional Lifeguard for our Ras Al Khaimah property to oversee daily pool safety and lifeguard operations. You will train staff in lifesaving procedures and monitor water quality and pool conditions to ensure guest safety and comfort.

The role requires valid lifeguard certification, current CPR/First Aid credentials, and previous hotel or beach lifeguard experience. You will work with the security team to maintain exceptional service standards.

Formación

• Valid and approved Lifeguard Certification.
• Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications.
• Strong swimming ability with endurance and speed.
• Previous lifeguard experience preferred, ideally in hotel/beach/waterpark contexts.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure safe daily operations in swimming pool areas while complying with health, safety, and fire prevention policies.
• Provide lifeguard services and participate in ongoing staff training for lifesaving techniques and water safety.
• Report any serious incidents immediately to the Lifeguard team leader or Security Supervisor.
• Maintain proper grooming and appearance at all times and follow Lost and Found procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest-focused service and high-quality standards.

Job Description

Ensure safe daily operations within the swimming pool areas by ensuring compliance of all health, safety and fire prevention policies and procedures.

To undertake training of all time – lifesaving techniques /procedures with special attention in the development of staff, swimming abilities, stamina, strokes, and water awareness.

Must attend to the need of the guests immediately, serious problems / situations must be reported to direct Lifeguard team leader / Lifeguard Supervisor or to Security Supervisor immediately.

Strictly follow Lost and found procedure.

Proper grooming at all times.

Attend training classes as per schedule.

Show fullest cooperation and respect within the team and other departments.

Should be aware of the daily activities and has product knowledge of all the hotel facilities

Work closely with other departments to ensure effective customer orientated operations.

Implement duties in line with the Quality standards, Security and Health & Safety requirements and applicable legislations

Ensure any noticeable variation with regards to the chemical control or clarity of the pool water is reported immediately to the Recreation Supervisor/ Manager and the Engineering Department.

Ensure the temperature of swimming pool remains consistent and set at the correct temperatures.

Inform the Lifeguard Supervisor and/or Security Supervisor if valuables are left in the open. Follows standard procedures in handling these similar situations.

Adhere to the provisions outlined in the Employee Handbook, Disciplinary Code and Rules and Regulations.

Implement any other duties as assigned by the Security Manager

Qualifications

• Valid and approved Lifeguard Certification
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications
• Strong swimming ability with excellent endurance and speed
• Previous lifeguard experience preferred, ideally within a hotel, beach, swimming pool, or waterpark environment
• High level of alertness, vigilance, and responsibility
• Strong observation and emergency response skills
