POSITION PURPOSE
Lifeguard is responsible to assure the safety of swimmers as per the local law and company standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Lifeguards prevent accidents by identifying hazards and taking preventative measures.
- As a pool lifeguard you would require to perform below duties:
- Patrol the edge of the pool or sit on an elevated chair at the poolside to keep a close watch on the pool and its users
- Promote the rules and regulations of the pool
- Be aware of possible situations where guests are not able to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisor/manager.
- Stop behavior which could be dangerous stop any potential behavior deem dangerous to self or to others
- Provide assistance injured guests until the arrival of emergency medical services
- Apply appropriate life saving techniques in case of emergencies
- Ensure that all the pool lifesaving equipment are available, maintained, in good and working condition
- Report to any hazards and faulty equipment to supervisor/manager.
- Observe the swimming area for dangerous conditions, unusual or unsafe activities, and swimmers who are struggling.
- Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
- Keep up-to-date knowledge through attending safety training and certifications.
- Follow company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines; move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and report
- As a Lifeguards you need to maintain physical fitness levels in order to perform lifeguard duty
- Participate in monthly lifesaving drill which will cover the following areas:
- - Safety (preparedness of associate, equipment, disclaimers?)
- - Emergency Preparedness
- - Guest Service
- - Cleanliness
- - Preparedness
- - Awareness
REQUIREMENTS
- 2-3 years’ experience of employment in a related position
- Preferably has completed Lifeguarding/ First Aid; CPR-AED training for lifeguards
- Healthy and with good fitness levels

EDUCATION
Bachelor degree required.
PSYCHICAL CONDITION REQUIRED FOR YOUR ROLE
