Librarian vacancy in Dubai UAE for unskilled worker, and qualifications/experience required.

We are looking to fill a Librarian role in Dubai. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about books, libraries and helping people find the information they need. We offer a competitive salary of 1400 AED per month plus other benefits.

In this role, you will be responsible for organising library collections, cataloguing new items and helping patrons locate books and other materials. You will also be expected to provide reference service to patrons by answering their questions, helping them use library resources, providing readers advice and suggesting materials for their research or pleasure reading. Additionally, your responsibilities may include conducting library programmes for adults or children such as story times or book clubs; training volunteers; maintaining library records; and creating displays to promote library collections and events.

To be considered for this role you must have excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written) as well as good interpersonal skills. We also prefer that you have prior experience working with libraries either in an academic setting or in a public/community setting. Knowledge of catalogue systems (e.g., Dewey Decimal Classification) is also a plus but not mandatory.
