Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Librarian to join our team in Dubai. The successful applicant will be responsible for the organization, management, and maintenance of our library’s collection.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as knowledge of library practices and procedures. The librarian must be able to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while demonstrating a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. The role requires the librarian to provide assistance to patrons in locating information, supervise staff members, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

The librarian will be expected to stay up-to-date with current trends in library services and technologies. This includes keeping abreast of new digital technologies, developing online resources, creating policies for use of the library's collections and other materials, ordering materials from suppliers, cataloging new material acquisitions into the library's electronic system, managing circulation records, researching information requests from patrons, organizing programs or events for patrons such as seminars or book clubs, maintaining the library’s physical environment by cleaning shelves and desks regularly.

The successful applicant will have at least two years of experience working in libraries or related fields. A degree in Library Science is preferred but not required. We are willing to consider applicants from abroad with relevant experience who can demonstrate strong English language skills both verbally and written. The salary offered is 1200 per month.
