Position: Librarian

Location: Dubai, UAE

Salary: 1500 AED per month

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Librarian to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the library and helping patrons find information. The Librarian must have excellent customer service skills, be proficient in library technology, and have an eye for detail.

The primary duties of the Librarian include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining the library’s catalog database including entering new materials, updating existing records, and deleting outdated records.
• Assisting patrons with finding information by offering expert advice on locating materials or utilizing online resources.
• Ensuring the library is clean and organized by checking shelves for accuracy, reshelving books, and discarding outdated materials.
• Assisting with special events such as author visits or book club meetings.
• Creating bibliographies and other research‑related materials as requested by patrons.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field preferred but we are willing to consider applicants with no experience in this field.
• Proficiency in basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize tasks while working independently.
