As part of this role, you will be responsible for managing the library's collections, organizing physical and digital resources, and providing guidance to patrons. You will be expected to maintain inventory records and organize materials according to established procedures. You will also need to research and develop new materials to expand the library’s collections. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting patrons in their search for materials and helping them find resources they need. You should also provide assistance with reference services, reader’s advisory, and program planning. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should have a good understanding of library policies and procedures as well as knowledge of information retrieval systems and classification systems. Additionally, you should have strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
