Job summary

JobCenter in Sharjah, UAE, is seeking a Librarian (Indian Nationals Only) to join our library team. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and a passion for books.

You will manage circulation, cataloging, and patron assistance while supporting curriculum needs and information literacy. The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Library Science with at least two years of library experience, and can work collaboratively or independently in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field required.
• Minimum of 2 years' library experience.
• Knowledge of cataloging and reference tools.
• Excellent English communication; Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage organization, maintenance, and circulation of library materials
• Ensure accurate cataloging and labeling of items
• Assist patrons with reference inquiries and information searches
• Plan library programs to promote literacy and learning
• Collaborate with faculty to integrate resources into instruction
• Train and supervise library assistants and volunteers
• Develop relationships with publishers and libraries for resource sharing
• Stay updated on trends and implement new technologies to improve services
