Job summary

ConFlip in El-Ain is seeking a Librarian Assistant to support the librarian with cataloging, shelving, and maintaining materials. The ideal candidate will be highly organized with strong communication skills and a passion for books and literature.

This full-time position offers visa sponsorship. Responsibilities include assisting patrons, managing circulation records, creating displays, and handling general admin tasks while promoting library events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Library Science or related field.
• Experience in a library setting is a plus.
• Excellent communication in English; Malayalam spoken is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cataloging new materials using proper classification systems.
• Shelve books and materials in an organized manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the library.
• Assist patrons with locating, checking out books, and finding information.
• Maintain circulation records and handle book returns.
• Help create displays and promote library events.
• Answer basic reference inquiries and support patrons.
• Perform general administrative duties such as calls, emails, and reservations.
