This full-time position offers visa sponsorship. Responsibilities include assisting patrons, managing circulation records, creating displays, and handling general admin tasks while promoting library events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Library Science or related field.
• Experience in a library setting is a plus.
• Excellent communication in English; Malayalam spoken is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; proficient with MS Office.

Librarian Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian Assistant to join our team in El-Ain. As a Librarian Assistant, you will assist the librarian with various tasks such as cataloging, shelving, and maintaining library materials. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a passion for books and literature.

• Assist with cataloging new library materials using proper classification systems
• Shelve books and other materials in an organized manner
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the library
• Assist patrons with finding and checking out books
• Maintain circulation records and handle book returns
• Assist with creating displays and promoting library events
• Help with basic reference inquiries, including locating materials and providing information to patrons
• Perform general administrative duties, such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and processing book reservations

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field preferred
• Previous experience working in a library setting is a plus
• Excellent communication skills in English (speaking Malayalam is also preferred)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
