Aldar Education is currently seeking an outstanding Librarian for Al Mushrif Kindergarten Charter School in Abu Dhabi for the Academic Year 25/26.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and deliver library information literacy sessions to enable students to find resources independently, whether books, magazines, or online materials.
  2. Select and order new books suitable for each grade level and student interests, and support curriculum topics as required by teachers.
  3. Liaise with teachers to distribute topic-related resources to classrooms timely.
  4. Catalog all resources in the automated library system, Destiny Follett, following the Dewey Decimal Classification. Label and cover books accordingly.
  5. Maintain the library database, ensuring records of students and teachers are current.
  6. Manage overdue books, handle lost or damaged books, and oversee repairs.
  7. Create an inviting library environment for reading and independent study.
  8. Promote reading through displays, recommend new releases, and foster a love for books.
  9. Arrange author visits and organize book fairs with local shops.
  10. Manage the school’s Book Club, including ordering, consolidating, and distributing books.
  11. Handle book sign-in/out and shelving.
  12. Collaborate with staff and respond to related inquiries.
  13. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and school policies.
  14. Assist in developing policies and procedures.
  15. Attend relevant training sessions.
  16. Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.

Qualifications
