YOUR ROLE

As the Legal Specialist, you will play a critical role in proactively supporting legal operations across multiple business units, professional functions, and sub-business units within Henkel. Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Offering sound legal advice to various stakeholders, helping to navigate complex legal matters and ensure alignment with business goals and Henkel Corporate Standards.
2. Negotiating, preparing, and reviewing contracts to ensure compliance and safeguard Henkel’s interests.
3. Managing external disputes and overseeing litigation matters, working closely with external counsel where needed.
4. Identifying opportunities to enhance legal workflows and processes, streamlining operations for greater efficiency and effectiveness.

YOUR SKILLS

• Law Degree from a reputable university and licensed to practice law (must be qualified).
• Minimum 8 years of Post Qualification Experience (PQE), including at least 3 years of law firm experience.
• Qualified in South Africa or Kenya is an advantage.
• Experience in Commercial laws, handling a variety of complex matters.
• Experience in the GCC preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
