1. JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY:
The Specialist - Legal plays a critical role in the Legal Commercial team, ensuring the seamless management of contracts, compliance with legal standards, and providing robust support to colleagues. This position is integral to maintaining Sanad’s contractual integrity by reviewing, amending, and tracking a variety of commercial contracts, thereby ensuring that all contractual obligations are met accurately and on time. The role involves significant interaction with other departments to gather essential contract information, offering solutions and insights to enhance contract management processes, and continuously identifying opportunities for process improvement. This ensures Sanad operates within legal frameworks and maintains the highest standards of contractual compliance and efficiency.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Contract Management:
- Reviews, amends, and tracks a variety of commercial contracts for Sanad and potentially other airlines, following established procedures.
- Handles contract types (e.g., agency agreements, service agreements, etc.).
- Ensures contracts comply with company policies and legal regulations.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts and their progress.
Team Support:
- Assists Head, Senior Manager, and senior colleagues (such as Manager and Senior
Supervisor/Senior Specialist), with contract-related tasks.
- Collaborates with other departments to gather necessary information for contracts (similar to the Senior Supervisor/Senior Specialist/Supervisor function).
- Provides solutions and answers to internal queries regarding contracts.
Process Improvement:
- Contribute to streamlining and improving contract management processes (depending on the level of responsibility).
9. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

• Law Degree or a related discipline.
Minimum Experience:
- At least 3 years of overall experience in contracts management.
- Experience gained within aviation industry (in particular export controls and trade compliance regulation) is desirable but not essential.
- Regional (MENA) experience is preferred.

- Proficiency in Legal Software: Proficiency in using contract management software and other relevant legal applications (consider specifying any specific software used by your company).
- Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in using MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint for contract creation, editing, and presentation.
- Contract Administration: Ability to effectively manage contracts, including tracking key dates, ensuring compliance with terms, and maintaining accurate contract records (both physical and electronic).
- Contract Review: Ability to independently review and analyze contracts for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies and legal regulations. Escalates complex matters to senior colleagues.
- Written Communication: Clear and concise writing skills for drafting correspondence, reports, and contract summaries.
