Legal Entity Governance Manager, Vice President

What you will be responsible for

As State Street Middle East Financial Solutions – Legal Entity Governance Manager, Vice President, you will be accountable for managing staff and acting as the primary point of contact in overseeing the implementation and maintenance of effective governance mechanisms to comply with local laws and State Street requirements.

Specifically, you will:

1. Manage, direct and develop staff members at VP level and below
2. Chair and/or participate in Committees and Forums, to ensure processes and controls are in place to meet regulatory and policy requirements
3. Act in an advisory capacity, ensuring all Board and Committee charters are in line with local regulatory and STT policy requirements
4. Contribute to Board, Committee or Forum materials and provide reporting to support management
5. Provide data and management information to support regulatory returns
6. Oversee Third Party Vendors and/or Intercompany Arrangements in line with local regulatory or policy compliance
7. Oversee Business Continuity planning and testing
8. Monitor new/existing legal documentation, to ensure firm and/or client data is accurately and completely stored within STT inventories
9. Maintain book of client records and Legal Entity Fund List
10. Review and Monitor KYC, AML, Financial Crime compliance in line with regulatory and policy requirements including oversight of periodic reviews, EDRs, Transaction monitoring, etc.
11. Manage and monitor Volcker oversight and reporting to ensure ongoing compliance
12. Drive remediation and continuous improvement programs in collaboration with global and local stakeholders

8. Prior experience in Banking/financial sector (preferred)

Education & Preferred Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent
2. Compliance, AML or Risk professional qualifications are preferred
3. Capital Market Authority (“CMA”) qualification exams
