The Group’s business operations cover a wide range of industry verticals including Healthcare, Government, Smart City & Smart Mobility, Oil & Gas, Fintech, Geospatial, Aviation, Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics and Sports.

G42 has an active and extensive partnership network, ranging from strategic collaborations and partnership projects to joint ventures and direct investment, greatly expanding the role and scope of its legal division.

Responsibilities

• Ability to draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including but not limited to, supply / purchase agreements, service agreements, sponsorship agreements, lease agreements and employment-related agreements.
• Provide sound legal advice on a broad range of commercial and contractual matters.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including G42’s human capital, procurement, marketing, facilities, and finance teams, to understand and cater to the company’s general legal needs.
• Promote legal, compliance and risk management best practice throughout the company.

Reporting To

In this role, you will report directly to G42’s Deputy General Counsel. This represents an excellent opportunity to play a critical role in managing G42’s commercial contracts and collaborate and coordinate closely with G42’s primary functions, while being part of a dynamic, high-performing, and collaborative team that fosters a positive and supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer in a Common Law jurisdiction or the US, with preference for candidates that are qualified under the laws of England and Wales.
• Minimum of 4-7 years of post-qualification experience in commercial law
• Excellent knowledge of transaction processes, commercial acumen, and a robust understanding of the law.
• Strong knowledge of the laws of England and Wales, ADGM law and UAE companies law.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to be an effective team player and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent supervisory skills with experience in mentoring and developing junior lawyers.

Preferred Qualification

• Proficiency in Arabic.
• Prior experience in an in-house role is a plus.
