Legal Counsellor

We are looking for a highly skilled and business-oriented Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal advice and ensure compliance with UAE laws and international regulations. Based in the UAE, the role involves contract negotiation, corporate governance, and legal risk management across a wide range of commercial activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including NDAs, MoUs, service agreements, and joint ventures.
2. Advise on corporate legal matters, regulatory compliance, and legal risks affecting business operations.
3. Support mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring initiatives.
4. Ensure company compliance with UAE commercial laws, labor regulations, and international legal standards.
5. Liaise with external legal advisors, regulatory bodies, and government entities as needed.
6. Provide legal guidance on intellectual property, data protection, and cross-border transactions.
7. Manage legal documentation, filings, and internal policy reviews.
8. Conduct legal research and prepare reports or memos for senior management.
9. Assist in dispute resolution, litigation, and arbitration proceedings.
10. Promote legal awareness and provide training to internal stakeholders on compliance and regulatory updates.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law from a recognized university.
2. Licensed to practice law in the UAE.
3. Minimum 5-7 years of legal experience, preferably in a corporate or in-house legal role.
4. Strong knowledge of UAE civil, commercial, labor, and corporate laws.
5. Experience with cross-border transactions and international legal frameworks.
6. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
7. Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
8. High ethical standards, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive information.
9. UAE experience or regional exposure strongly preferred.
