Our client is a major corporate with a portfolio of high growth companies which is based in the UAE. The company operates internationally and is actively investing in and expanding into new areas and businesses. What the job involves

We are seeking a conscientious legal counsel, who is a qualified lawyer with experience from practice or a high-growth corporate within the UAE. The role is based in the UAE.

• Supporting business across a variety of legal situations, including structuring, regulatory matters and drafting contracts
• Represent the team and the company to the highest standard while supervising portfolio businesses and ensuring adherence to regulatory and governance requirements and investment terms
• Advise across the investment life cycle for seed, VC and PE investments in various jurisdictions. This will include deal structuring, term sheets, due diligence, drafting transaction documents and deal closing
• Review NDAs, draft commercial contracts and respond to NDA queries
• Research, draft and implement policies and processes that comply with laws across a variety of jurisdictions
• Advise on investment exits including drafting and negotiating transaction documentation
• Able to represent the company's legal interests in an assertive, constructive way
• Able to drive growth initiatives from a legal perspective in concert with the business and the board
• Approachable, with a friendly but resilient style

Who we are looking for

• A qualified lawyer with experience from internally recognized law firms or equivalent in-house
• Experience in a legal environment where regulations are unclear or new
• Go-getting, with a can-do attitude
• Able to draft legal documents in a simple, clear way
• Flexible as to what you work on and willing to help and be challenged
• Arabic language is not a requirement
