Duties & Responsibilities
- Advise the business regarding contracts and other commercial documents, including drafting, reviewing, and leading contractual negotiations.
- Possess good knowledge of local customs, practices, and forms of legal agreements.
- Provide pragmatic risk assessments of legal risks associated with contracts.
- Train stakeholders on relevant legal topics.
- Have a good understanding of corporate governance and advise internal and external stakeholders on best practices, laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Undertake company secretarial work.
- Build internal legal processes.
- Structure the launch of new markets or business lines from a legal perspective.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks within the business and communicate these risks to stakeholders.
Education & Experience
- Law degree from a top international university. Fluent in English; fluency in Arabic is a plus but not required.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- 4-6 years of experience as a lawyer; experience at an international law firm is a plus.
- UAE corporate law, commercial, or finance experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask, especially under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Strong business acumen and ability to coordinate teams to ensure quality outcomes.
- Methodical work approach with a focus on accuracy.
- Willingness to work beyond core hours to meet expectations.
