Job Description

Provide legal support to KVI’s waste management and green energy businesses worldwide, focusing on the Middle East and emerging markets. Support complex international transactions, project execution, corporate governance, and dispute management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with regional leadership to identify, evaluate, and mitigate legal risks, review transactions, and implement risk strategies.
2. Structure, negotiate, and draft agreements with clients, partners, sponsors, financing institutions, contractors, suppliers, and service providers, especially in the Middle East.
3. Engage external counsel and manage dispute resolution across jurisdictions.
4. Provide solutions-oriented legal advice on daily matters, including compliance.
5. Promote best legal, commercial, and ethical practices within KVI.
6. Ensure compliance and deliver legal training to personnel.
7. Develop and maintain contract templates and precedents.
8. Stay informed on relevant legal and industry developments.

Qualifications

• Qualified common law lawyer, preferably admitted in England and Wales, with strong academic background.
• 6+ years PQE in an international law firm or in-house legal department of a project company.
• Experience in drafting and negotiating complex construction and project finance contracts.
• Experience working with public and private clients, development partners, and financiers.
• Knowledge of corporate, governance, and tender management.
• Experience managing construction claims and M&A legal aspects.
• Willingness to support legal matters in the Middle East and across the group.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic, German, or French is a plus.
• Renewable energy experience is advantageous.
