Role Overview :

We are seeking a skilled Senior Legal Cousel to provide expert legal guidance and support, ensuring the company's operations remain within legal and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities :

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, including purchase agreements, lease agreements, partnership agreements, and service contracts. Ensure that all contracts align with corporate strategies and comply with legal standards.
• Provide expert legal advice on a range of issues affecting the company, particularly in the areas of real estate development, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations at the local, national, and international levels. Advise on legal risks associated with corporate activities and operations.
• Handle dispute resolution and litigation management, representing the company in legal proceedings and overseeing the work of external counsel as necessary.
• Assist in the development and enforcement of corporate governance policies and procedures. Advise the board of directors and senior management on legal implications of corporate strategies and decisions.
• Identify and advise on legal and regulatory risks impacting the company’s business. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
• Manage the protection of the company’s intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents, ensuring that all necessary legal protections are in place.
• Provide legal support for various projects, including real estate development projects, from the initial planning stage through to completion. Ensure that all project contracts, agreements, and licenses are in full compliance with legal requirements.
• Develop and deliver training to company staff on legal compliance, best practices, and changes in the legal environment that may affect the company.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB), Master’s degree in Law (LLM) preferred.

Licensed to practice law in a recognized jurisdiction.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial law, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in the real estate sector.

Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal transactions and strategies.

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
