Job description

We are an early-stage startup (Seed Completed) in Crypto / AI that aims to monetize scientific research, datasets, and other kinds of IP through marketplaces tailored to AI companies seeking quality data for training. Our platform offers ways to participate in the AI economy without compromising data privacy (hence PrivateAI). Our co-founders have previously founded and exited crypto startups, including Ambrosus ($250m exit), and our CTO was Team Lead at Fantom ($8B market cap).

Requirements for Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple legal and administrative processes in an early-stage startup environment from start to finish. Be prepared for a chaotic, unpredictable, non-linear environment with unconventional tasks and problems. You need to be a self-starter and able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment of crypto and AI.

Please note this is a remote position (fixed contract), with no office provided. The company is located offshore.

Specific Responsibilities

1. Draft, review, analyze, and negotiate various contracts.
2. Understand how various jurisdictions work, including their risks and benefits.
3. Ability to weigh legal considerations against commercial considerations.
4. Negotiate with counterparties, verify documentation, etc.

We need someone who is mobile, responsive, and willing to take on tasks without deferring to others.

Qualifications

1. 5+ years of demonstrated legal experience in tech business development (tech sales, presales, marketing, fundraising) or operations supporting these activities.
2. Thorough understanding of English law and ability to apply it to global contracts across jurisdictions.
3. Strong passion for new technologies, especially crypto and AI.
4. Excellent command of English.
5. Experience working with a team in a non-corporate environment, without standard corporate processes.
