Legal Counsel – Islamic Banking Dubai | 6-Month Contract | Up to AED 41,000/month MENA Recruit is partnering with The Bench – our legal consultancy arm – to support a major banking client in Dubai in their search for an experienced Legal Counsel with a strong background in Islamic finance. About the Role This is a 6-month temporary contract role, ideal for a UAE-based lawyer looking to make an immediate impact in the Islamic banking space. You will provide legal advice and manage legal risk across the bank’s commercial and institutional banking units, including: 1. Corporate banking 2. Trade and transaction banking 3. Business support and credit admin 4. Financial institutions and structured finance Key Responsibilities: 1. Deliver legal guidance on Islamic finance transactions 2. Draft and negotiate contracts and finance documentation 3. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and frameworks 4. Support internal teams on a broad range of banking matters

1. 5–10+ years PQE from a top-tier law firm, bank, or ideally both 2. Strong familiarity with Islamic finance products, structures & documents, such as: 3. LMA standard agreements 4. IIFM templates 5. BAFT Master Participation Agreement 6. Wakala Deposits, and more Currently based in the UAE and available to start immediately or on short notice.
