Job description

We are recruiting a legal counsel for an established investment group, now operating in the UAE and MENA region. They specialise mainly in asset and investment management. The requirement is for a fluent bilingual Arabic/English qualified lawyer with strong experience in the UAE.

Job description
  1. Working with private clients on various wealth planning and investment matters: setting up corporate structures, handling communications with registration and supervising authorities, dealing with company administration matters;
  2. Provide support to the business team for day-to-day legal matters and questions, including drafting, reviewing, finalizing, and interpreting agreements and other legal documents;
  3. Advising on and negotiating corporate transactional matters and overseeing the structuring of investment products;
  4. Manage company maintenance and corporate governance for the firm and its affiliated entities;
  5. Identifying and driving implementation of operational enhancements and internal policies/procedures in order to effectively mitigate risk and improve efficiency.
Requirements
  1. 5+ years of relevant work experience
  2. Deep knowledge of UAE free zones’ procedures and requirements
  3. Hands on experience in structuring and setting up holding vehicles in UAE
  4. Knowledge of UAE banking/insurance/financial services industry regulations and practices
  5. Excellent drafting skills
  6. Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines
  7. Ability to work strategically and independently
  8. Proficiency in English and Arabic
