An innovative media company in Dubai is seeking a Legal Specialist to manage creator relations and legal documentation. The ideal candidate has 3-4 years of experience in a legal role, strong knowledge of the creator economy, and must be adaptable to an unpredictable workload. Creator Relations & Escalations: You will be the primary point of contact for legal matters concerning our creators. This includes proactively managing relationships and de-escalating complex situations.
Legal Document Management: Oversee and manage internal legal documents, addenda, and contracts.
Internal Legal Support: Provide legal advice and support across the company, including during brainstorming sessions, for HR-related issues (e.g., employee terminations), and in a general advisory capacity.
External Counsel Coordination: Act as the liaison between our internal team and external legal support, independently managing communication and case-related tasks.
Compliance & Best Practices: Be accountable for the company's legal framework. This includes creating and implementing best practices, educating the team, and ensuring all legal documents are organized and easily accessible.
Experience: You should have significant experience, ideally 3-4 years, in a relevant legal role. This isn0t a junior position; we need someone senior enough to take ownership and make informed decisions.
Industry Knowledge
Must-Have: Strong background in the creator economy, digital marketing, social media, and intellectual property. This is critical, as you need to understand the nuances of our industry without extensive onboarding.
Nice-to-Have: Experience with compliance, advertising, promotions, and copyright / trademark law is a definite plus.
Location: While we're looking for someone with a global, international approach, a strong understanding of Dubai law is a significant preference.
Work Style: You must be highly adaptable and comfortable with an unpredictable workload. This role has periods of intense, high-volume work that may include weekends, followed by more manageable periods. The ideal candidate can prioritize effectively and drop everything to handle an urgent escalation.
