Job summary

SmartChoice International GCC in Dubai is seeking a commercially minded Legal Associate to join its in-house Legal team. You will support day-to-day commercial activities, review and draft contracts, and advise business teams on risk and compliance.

The ideal candidate has a law degree, 3–6 years of relevant experience, in-house tech experience, and fluency in English and Arabic. You’ll work with stakeholders across the organisation, maintain the contract repository, and help educate teams on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law
• 3–6 years’ relevant legal experience
• In-house experience within a technology organisation is highly desirable
• Strong English and Arabic languages are required

Responsibilities

• Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a range of commercial agreements, including services agreements, business partner agreements and technology implementation agreements
• Supporting sales and business teams with practical legal and commercial advice
• Advising on contractual terms, risks and liabilities
• Supporting relationships with technology partners and vendors
• Managing the contract repository and supporting contract management processes
• Advising internal stakeholders on contractual matters and helping educate teams on key legal considerations
• Supporting compliance with applicable export control requirements
• Conducting legal research across areas such as data protection and technology law
• Providing wider support to the Legal team across documentation, governance and ad-hoc legal matters

I’m currently supporting a leading technology organisation with the appointment of a Legal Associate to join their in-house Legal team in Dubai.

This is a great opportunity for a commercially minded legal professional who enjoys working closely with business teams and has experience across commercial and technology contracts.

You’ll provide day-to-day legal support to the business across commercial activities, contracts and RFPs, working closely with internal stakeholders and senior Legal leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a range of commercial agreements, including services agreements, business partner agreements and technology implementation agreements
• Supporting sales and business teams with practical legal and commercial advice
• Advising on contractual terms, risks and liabilities

Requirements:
