Job description

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to real estate transactions (property sales, leasing, development agreements) and hospitality operations (hotel management, franchising, and supplier agreements).
  2. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all real estate and hospitality activities are fully compliant with UAE laws and regulations, including the Dubai Land Department (DLD) and the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) requirements.
  3. Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal advice on real estate development projects, hotel acquisitions, property investments, and commercial leasing matters.
  4. Dispute Resolution: Handle litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution related to real estate and hospitality, including tenant-landlord disputes, construction claims, and contractual breaches.
  5. Corporate Governance: Advise the board and senior management on governance and compliance matters, helping to structure deals, joint ventures, and business partnerships.
  6. Labor Law Guidance: Advise on labor law issues specific to the hospitality sector, including employment contracts, employee rights, and regulatory compliance.
  7. Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks and work with the business to mitigate and manage them effectively.
Desired Candidate Profile
  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB or equivalent); a Master’s in Law or specialization in Real Estate/Commercial Law is an advantage.
  2. 3 - 5 years of legal experience, with at least 3 years focused on real estate and hospitality in the UAE.
  3. Proven track record working with property developers, real estate management firms, or hospitality groups.
  4. License: Must be licensed to practice law in the UAE or eligible for a legal practicing certificate.
  5. In-depth knowledge of UAE real estate laws, hospitality regulations, and compliance requirements.
  6. Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
  8. Ability to manage legal risks and provide sound legal guidance in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Proven ability to handle complex disputes and litigation processes.
  10. High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
