Legal Advisor (Contracts and Commercial)

The Legal Advisor will play a pivotal role in providing legal counsel and support in contractual matters and commercial transactions. This position requires a deep understanding of contract law, impeccable language proficiency in English, and the ability to navigate complex legal scenarios within a commercial context. Proficiency in Arabic is a definite advantage.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including but not limited to vendor agreements, service contracts, and licensing agreements.
2. Provide legal advice and guidance on contractual matters to internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
3. Assess and mitigate legal risks associated with contractual obligations and business transactions.
4. Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making processes and resolve legal issues.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and finance, to address legal concerns and facilitate smooth contract negotiations.
6. Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations pertaining to contracts and commercial activities.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Law from an accredited institution.
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on contracts and commercial law.
3. Proficiency in English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Arabic is a definite advantage.
4. Strong understanding of contract law principles and commercial practices.
5. Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
6. Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
7. High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master's degree or specialization in Contract Law, Commercial Law, or related field.
2. Previous experience working in a corporate legal department or law firm.
3. Additional language proficiency beyond Arabic and English.
4. Certification or training in contract management or commercial arbitration.
