Job description

Kings School Al Barsha Inclusion Team is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for the upcoming academic year starting August 2025.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for an aspiring, imaginative, and inspirational Learning Support Assistant to join a creative, innovative, and supportive team.

The ideal candidate will:

  1. Hold a Bachelor’s degree or high school certificate
  2. Have previous experience as an Inclusion Learning Support Assistant
  3. Possess sound knowledge of the EYFS, KS1, or KS2 curriculum
  4. Be an innovative, flexible, creative, and enthusiastic practitioner capable of planning and delivering various interventions
  5. Have a strong understanding of phonics, especially the Read Write Inc programme, and be confident in delivering class, group, and 1:1 phonics sessions
  6. Know how to implement a range of strategies to support classroom learning
  7. Understand IEPs and be confident attending parent meetings
  8. Be committed to the well-being and pastoral care of students
  9. Know how to manage diverse behavior needs
  10. Be skilled in developing positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  11. Possess a valid UAE-sponsored residence visa
