The Role

The Training Coordinator Lead is responsible for leading, organizing, and overseeing all training programs related to offshore crane operations and associated disciplines. This role provides strategic direction, supervises third training providers, ensures compliance with contractual, industry, and safety standards, and drives continuous improvement across training delivery. The Training Coordinator Lead acts as the key liaison between clients, internal stakeholders, and training providers, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and effective training outcomes that align with organizational and client objectives.

Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas
  • Leadership & Team Management
    • Lead and mentor a team of Training Coordinators and support staff.
    • Assign responsibilities and monitor performance.
    • Compliance, and continuous improvement within the training coordination function.
  • Training Program Oversight
    • Provide oversight of training programs for offshore crane operations and related areas.
    • Ensure programs are delivered in line with client contracts and applicable safety regulations.
    • Approve training schedules
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance
    • Maintain oversight of training documentation, employee certifications, and regulatory compliance.
    • Lead audits of training coordination processes to ensure alignment with contractual and organizational standards.
    • Serve as the primary point of accountability for training coordination-related compliance with EnerMech and client policies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Act as the senior point of contact for clients regarding training requirements and delivery.
    • Build strong partnerships with third-party providers and regulatory authorities.
    • Provide detailed reporting and updates to senior management on training performance and outcomes.
  • Resource & Budget Management
    • Ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
    • Approve venues, equipment, and materials for both offshore and onshore training sessions.
    • Ensure qualified and certified trainers and assessors are available and assigned.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation
    • Drive improvements in training coordination methodologies, technologies, and content.
    • Monitor feedback and performance to enhance training coordination effectiveness.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.
  • Leadership or supervisory training qualifications.
  • Extensive experience in offshore crane operations, training coordination, or project management.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a training or operations environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of crane types, lifting equipment, lifting operations, and offshore operational challenges.
  • Proficiency in training management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and reporting tools.
