Job summary

Wtsenergy seeks a Senior Technical Safety Engineer to lead loss prevention activities across onshore/offshore projects. You will drive feasibility studies, pre-FEED/FEED and detailed design, and develop fire and gas safety philosophies.

The ideal candidate has 12–15 years in technical safety, with a Chemical/Mechanical/Environmental engineering background and advanced safety certifications. UAE-based senior role with international standards exposure.

Qualifications

12–15 years experience in technical safety and loss prevention in hydrocarbon projects.
Bachelor level engineering degree; master/safety certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

Acts as Technical Safety Loss Prevention team lead for feasibility, pre-FEED/FEED and detailed design for assigned projects.
Prepare/review HSE design philosophies Fire & Gas Detection and Fire Protection philosophy.
Prepare/review Loss prevention deliverables such as Firefighting System Calculations, Hydraulic Studies, PFDs/P&IDs, Layouts, Equipment datasheets & specifications.
Provide Technical Safety Loss Prevention input and review of engineering documents from other disciplines.
Initiate and manage safety studies (HAZOP, HAZID, ENVID, SIL, etc.).
Coordinate and monitor Technical Safety Loss Prevention engineering with EPC contractor and PMC/Vendors.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers to ensure schedule adherence and quality.
