Supply Chain Specialist

(Iraq Mega Projects Consultancy Programme)

Location: Dubai, UAE

The role will be primarily office-based with flexibility for remote work. Travel to Iraq may be required on a visiting basis.

The Role

We are seeking a Lead Supply Chain Consultant with over 15 years of experience to work on a major transformation and restructuring programme in the manufacturing and FMCG sector. The successful candidate will review current supply chain operations, conduct benchmarking, identify gaps, define new objectives, and drive operational excellence to enhance supply chain capabilities and resilience.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead assessment of the full supply chain lifecycle, including procurement, contracts, logistics, inventory management, supply markets, costs, and warehousing.
• Conduct benchmarking exercises regionally and internationally to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement supply chain solutions.
• Post-pilot, define strategic objectives and deliver solutions aligned with business goals.
• Restructure the supply chain operating model to align with the new Target Operating Model.
• Develop KPIs to monitor supply chain performance.
• Facilitate workshops and training on supply chain best practices and change management.
• Act as a trusted advisor on industry trends, risk management, and resilience.

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or 15+ years in supply chain solutions and transformation programs.
• Preferably sector experience in manufacturing and FMCG.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in modeling and optimization tools.
• Experience with ERP systems and supply chain management software.
• Knowledge of sustainability practices in supply chain strategies.
• Experience working in the Middle East.
• Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint.
